Wow. I’ve gotten a lot of emails via my contact form asking for more details on my acne scar cure. Don’t worry, I’m busy writing up my search and reviews of the products I’ve tried and will post it shortly. I’m not much of a writing, and my girls take up a lot of my time.

Until then, I’m going to share this article on general tips to get rid of acne. Hope it helps.

How To Get Rid Of Acne – 7 Tips For Success
Let’s face it.  Zits are a royal pain.  It seems like discovering how to get rid of acne is a never ending battle.  There is no single solution that will give every person a perfect, clear complexion.  Don’t lose hope though.  Here are 7 tips that may prove to work for you.
The key to finding a treatment that works for you is to focus on treatments that will rid your skin of acne causing bacteria.  Start by washing your face two times a day, every day.  Make sure you use a clean wash cloth with warm water and a mild soap.  Do not scrub your face.  Instead, wash gently.
Avoid touching your face with your hands.  Also try to keep your hair off your face.  Your fingers and hair both contain oil that may cause unnecessary outbreaks.  If you wear makeup, look to purchase oil free makeup.
When looking into how to get rid of acne, women may find birth control pills beneficial.  When your hormones are highly active, your chances of developing acne are increased.  Birth control pills help your hormones become more stabilized and lessen the possibility of an acne attack.
If these solutions don’t work for you, the next step is to purchase anti-acne medication from your local pharmacy or supermarket.  You will often find these over the counter medications referred to as benzoyl peroxide.  Use as directed.  Failure to do so may result in increased skin irritation which will increase the healing time.
The final progression in demolishing acne is to visit a dermatologist.  When home remedies and over the counter solutions aren’t working for you, it’s possible that prescribed medications like Accutane may be necessary.  Many prescribed medications come with side affects like changes of mood or sudden bleeding of the nose. Many of these medications will also require constant monitoring by your dermatologist.  Other doctor prescribed solutions may also include oral antibiotics which kill trapped bacteria in your skin.
As you can see, when it comes to determining how to get rid of acne, there are a wide variety of solutions.  Different solutions work for different people.  It’s impossible to say that one single solution will work for everybody.  Every individual’s case of acne will be different.  The key is to start with the simplest solutions and when you find something that works, stick with it.
